Advisory Notice: Awareness Regarding Everyday Payments (Formerly AnyDay)

We are sharing this notice to make members aware of publicly reported issues involving the tip management platform Everyday Payments, previously known as AnyDay and associated with XTM Inc..

Industry communications and media reporting, including coverage by Global News, have described concerns reported by some operators in other jurisdictions, including service interruptions, delayed or restricted access to funds, and inconsistencies in reported account balances. In some cases, operators and employees have experienced delayed payouts or temporary loss of access to digital wallets used for tip distribution.

At this time, we have not received similar widespread feedback from Alberta members, but given the importance of reliable and transparent tip distribution in hospitality, we felt it was appropriate to share this information for awareness.

Recommended Steps for Operators

  • Review business bank accounts and program balances

  • Reconcile expected tip payouts against actual transactions received

  • Encourage employees using digital wallets or prepaid cards to transfer funds to personal bank accounts where feasible

  • Document any discrepancies and seek professional or financial guidance promptly

We will continue to monitor developments and welcome feedback from members. If you have any concerns or want to share your thoughts on this topic feel free to contact us at admin@albertahospitalityassociation.ca
