  2. Delivery Drives Decisions: More than half of Canadians say they prefer ordering via third-party apps for ease and reliability, and nearly 3 in 4 Canadians consider ordering delivery as an act of self-care.   3. Comfort Still Converts: Naan, butter chicken, poutine, and miso soup were among the top items ordered nationwide in 2024. In the Prairies specifically, pizza reigns supreme with Japanese and Indian cuisine following as top consumer ordering preferences.

In addition to customer demand, according to our latest Community Impact Report, 1 in 3 merchants say that DoorDash is crucial to their success – and 1 in 10 merchants say their business wouldn’t exist without us.
